Open Source Myths Debunked
09/06/2015
Open Source, or Proprietary Software? Which is the right choice for your business? Open Source software means anyone can read the "source code", use the software for themselves and sell it to their clients and in many cases contribute back to the development of the software, or extend its functionality and keep those contributions to themselves. This is great for developers as it means they can configure free software and sell it on to their clients. It can be good for certain clients too, as in some cases it means they can have a solution developed at a lower cost. But can proprietary software offer the same and more advantages for you? Are all of the Open Source claims entirely accurate?
